Refundable Puppy Reservation Agreement

This Refundable Puppy Reservation Agreement is made between Rescue Puppies For Adoption (“Breeder”) and the undersigned individual (“Adopter”) for the reservation of a puppy.

By signing this agreement, the Adopter agrees to the following terms:


1. Reservation Fee

1.1. The Adopter agrees to pay a transferable reservation fee of [amount] to reserve a specific puppy.
1.2. This reservation fee is refundable if:

  • No litter is produced by the parents within 2 months of the reservation date.
  • The Adopter chooses not to proceed with the purchase before the puppy is ready to go home.
    1.3. The reservation fee will be applied toward the final purchase price of the puppy once the adoption is finalized.

2. Reservation Duration

2.1. The reservation is valid for a maximum of 2 months from the date of payment.
2.2. If the Adopter does not complete the adoption within this period, the reservation fee may be refunded under the conditions specified in Section 1.2.


3. Puppy Selection & Availability

3.1. The breeder will notify the Adopter when puppies from the reserved litter are available for selection.
3.2. The Adopter has the right to choose their puppy once the litter is born and ready for adoption, subject to availability.


4. Refund & Transfer Policy

4.1. If no puppy is available due to unforeseen circumstances, the reservation fee will be fully refunded to the Adopter.
4.2. If the Adopter is not ready to proceed with the adoption, the reservation fee may be transferred to the next two available litters at the breeder’s discretion.
4.3. Refunds will be issued within 1 - 4 business days of notification.


5. Adopter Responsibilities

5.1. The Adopter agrees to provide a safe, loving, and permanent home for the puppy.
5.2. The Adopter understands that early socialization, care, and veterinary attention are essential for the puppy’s health and well-being.
5.3. The Adopter must comply with all local pet laws and regulations once the puppy is in their care.


6. Breeder Commitments

6.1. The Breeder will provide the Adopter with:

  • Up-to-date vaccination and deworming records
  • Veterinary health certificates
  • Guidance and support for a smooth transition of the puppy to their new home
    6.2. The Breeder reserves the right to approve or deny the adoption if they believe the puppy’s welfare may be compromised.

7. General Agreement

7.1. This Agreement does not constitute full adoption of the puppy; it is a reservation only.
7.2. Both parties acknowledge that this Agreement is binding and enforceable under applicable law.
7.3. Any disputes arising under this Agreement will first be addressed through good-faith negotiation between the Adopter and the Breeder.
